The aims of the organisation are to:
- Encourage and promote the role of ceremony in everyday life.
- Promote and facilitate the distribution of professional resources amongst members, other celebrants and the community.
- Encourage and promote professional development by and amongst members of the organisation.
- Represent the interests of members of the organisation in their role as civil celebrants.
- Adopt a code of ethics and require members to adhere to it.
