BDM NSW News inc Fee Exemption for Marriage Certificates
Dear Marriage Celebrant,
1. eMarriages (website)
eMarriages will be unavailable due to maintenance on a webserver today (14 February), 5.30 to 6.00pm.
The Registry apologises for any inconvenience caused.
2. Fee exemption for NSW standard marriage certificates
The following service is fee exempt for the 12 month period commencing on 14 February 2011 - the issue of a standard marriage certificate in respect of a marriage that occurs on or after 14/2/2011.
Please note, both Commemorative certificate and urgent fees still apply. If a couple request a standard certificate, an application form is still required to be completed.
Registry Connect - Marriages
Users are advised not to order any certificates until an update is made to Registry Connect to reflect the recent change.
Follow these steps to order a certificate:
Complete a Marriage Certificate application form (download from www.bdm.nsw.gov.au).
If ordering a standard marriage certificate indicate this on the form, but do not attach any payment.
Place a completed application form on top of the marriage paperwork and post all documents to the Registry:
