Funeral and Memorial Celebrations, with Jamie Forsberg

I have had a long and satisfying career in technology consulting, business development, the arts, event management, and community services.

I have since moved to regional NSW to raise my two boys and to further my studies in weddings, funerals, music and mindfulness meditation.

I enjoy networking and meeting with the local community of funeral providers at all levels. This approach allows me to improve my knowledge of modern funeral trends, challenges facing funeral directors and their ever evolving client requirements.

Why I'm a celebrant: I enjoy participating in events that take place at crucial moments in people’s lives. I am fascinated by people's ability to conquer enormous challenges and at moments of great pain rise above and beyond.

I would like to assist people during this time by drawing on my long experience of consultative, creative and artistic approaches to providing the best service possible for that person and their family.

I understand that all of our lifes' journeys are unique and we all have a story to tell. Being able to help tease out these stories and share them amongst family and friends is a huge privilege.

Treasured memories: One of the key cultural and personal benefits of a successfully conceived and designed funeral ceremony, is the ongoing memory and legacy of their sadly departed, left in the minds and hearts of those attending the ceremony.

I am always focused on capturing the essence of the person who has recently deceased, taking all the time required to listen to as many family and friends who would like to initially participate. This is, I find, essential in providing family and others attending an ongoing, appropriate and personal memory of that person and the elements they needed to hear and experience.

Funerals, burials and memorials are rites of passage for every human being and are deeply healing and meaningful for those left behind.
