1. Purpose

This policy sets out the terms and conditions governing membership, participation, and use of services offered by The Celebrants Network Inc. (TCN), including but not limited to:

  • TCN Membership
  • The Celebrants Network Shop
  • Directory Entries and Social Media Listings
  • The Celebrants Network website
  • Professional Development (PD) Online
  • TCN Social Media and Forums

By using TCN’s website, services, or resources, members and visitors agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and TCN’s Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions, you must not use our website or services.

2. Definitions

· “TCN”, “The Celebrants Network”, “we”, “our”, “us” refer to The Celebrants Network Inc., ABN 31 202 566 788.

· “You”, “member”, “user” refer to any person using TCN’s website, services, or participating in its programs.

3. General Terms of Use

  1. Use of TCN’s website and services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  2. TCN reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on the website, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any amendments.
  3. These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

4. Membership

  1. Applicants must meet TCN’s membership eligibility criteria and agree to abide by The Celebrants Network Inc. Constitution., available on the TCN website.
  2. Membership fees are non-refundable once paid, except where required by law.
  3. Members agree to uphold the values, ethics, and professional standards of TCN.

5. TCN Shop – Terms and Conditions

5.1 Payments

  • All orders must be prepaid.
  • Payments are accepted via Mastercard, Visa, or PayPal.
  • Customers must not send credit card details by ordinary email.
  • The TCN Shop is protected with an SSL certificate using SHA-256 RSA Encryption.

5.2 Pricing

  • All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • Prices are subject to change without notice and are reviewed regularly to ensure competitiveness.
  • Goods and Services Tax (GST) is currently not applicable to TCN products and services.
  • Price-matching inquiries may be considered upon provision of supplier details and competitor pricing.

5.3 Shipping and Delivery

  • Orders are dispatched within one week unless items are personalised.
  • TCN uses Australia Post and cannot guarantee delivery times.
  • Express Post is used primarily for tracking and efficiency, not expedited delivery.
  • Customers should order early to accommodate postal delays.
  • Customers will be notified within two business days if TCN is unable to supply an item.

5.4 Refunds

  • Damaged, faulty, or incorrectly supplied goods will be replaced or refunded at no additional cost.
  • Dissatisfied customers must contact TCN within seven (7) days of receipt to discuss replacement or refund options.
  • No refunds are available for cancelled memberships or non-refundable products.

5.5 Security Policy

All financial transactions are processed via secure 256-bit SSL encryption. TCN takes reasonable steps to protect customers’ data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Directory Listings and Social Media Entries

  1. Directory and social media listings are accepted at TCN’s discretion.
  2. Free listings (where offered) are placed in order of submission; paid listings are prioritised by purchase date and category.
  3. Listing providers must ensure their information is accurate, current and accepts all responsibilities if copyright is infringed in any way.
  4. By submitting content, you warrant that:
    • It is your original work and does not infringe Australian or international law.
    • You grant TCN permission to use, reproduce, and publish it (including on social media).
  5. TCN does not endorse non-TCN products or services listed in its directory and accepts no responsibility for their quality or delivery.
  6. Feedback on listed products and services is welcomed to ensure alignment with TCN’s values.

7. Website Terms of Use

7.1 Content and Material

  • Information on TCN’s website is for general purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.
  • While care is taken to ensure accuracy, TCN makes no representation regarding the completeness or timeliness of website materials.
  • Users rely on the information at their own risk.

  1. All intellectual property on this website—including text, images, design, and layout—is owned by TCN unless otherwise stated.
  2. Users may make temporary copies for personal use only, provided:

10. Social Media and Forum Rules

  1. Members must not post material that is abusive, obscene, defamatory, hateful, threatening, or unlawful.
  2. Social Media and Forum content is confidential and must not be shared outside the forum environment.
  3. Breaches may result in immediate and permanent suspension of access.
  4. TCN reserves the right to edit, move, or remove posts as necessary.
  5. Access to the TCN Social Media and Forum platforms is only valid which a member is financial with TCN.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TCN disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from:

  • Use or inability to use the website or services;
  • Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in content; or
  • Third-party products, listings, or links.

Where liability cannot be excluded, TCN’s responsibility is limited to resupplying the affected service or covering its reasonable replacement cost.

12. Online Education and Forums

1. Responsibility for Content and Delivery

The Celebrants Network Inc. (TCN) facilitates online education and professional development forums as part of its commitment to supporting celebrant learning and community engagement. The responsibility for the design, content, and delivery of each online education session rests with the facilitator, presenter, or provider conducting the session.

2. Participant Conduct and Engagement

Participants are expected to engage respectfully, maintain professional decorum, and comply with TCN’s Social Media and Forum guidelines when participating in any online education forum or event. Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the session and/or suspension of access to future TCN activities.

3. Disclaimer of Liability

While TCN endeavours to provide educational content of high quality and relevance, TCN does not accept responsibility for the accuracy, opinions, or advice expressed by external presenters or participants. Any views shared during online education forums are those of the individual presenters and not necessarily endorsed by TCN.

4. Technical Responsibility

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have adequate technology, internet access, and software to participate in online education activities. TCN will provide reasonable support but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or performance of third-party platforms.
