In 2005 I had the privilege of taking on the ownership of the Canberra Wedding Fair giving me links to the best wedding suppliers in the National Capital.

Over the past 18 years I have continued my love of all occasions, whether they are the best of life or the worst, I believe they are all part of our stories.

Why I'm a celebrant: I have always been a lover of occasions and believe that these days are the highs, and sometimes the lows, of our lives.

I became a celebrant after the passing of my husband in 2021. When my sister-in-law asked who would give his eulogy I answered without hesitation, "I would". His funeral was a reflection of his life, fun, happy and involving beer. It is for this reason that I want to help others celebrate the beginning, the middle or the end of their stories.

Tips : My biggest tip for any occasion is to do it your way. So many times I hear people say that they wish they hadn't listened to others and been persuaded to do things differently and then regret these decisions. Unfortunately, we don't get the opportunity to do a re-do, and doing it the way others want it will always diminish it for you.
