Sacred Celebrations

Celebrant background: I am a registered marriage celebrant residing in Canberra, ACT.
Why I'm a celebrant: I recently became a registered celebrant, stepping into a vocation that blends shared humanity with ritual and reverence. My path has been shaped by years of guiding a yoga studio and leading rituals within the community—an ongoing practice of honouring cycles, seasons, and the many transitions we navigate in life. Through ceremony, I create sacred space that is calm, inclusive, and celebratory.
Why am I a celebrant? I recently became a celebrant, blending humanity with ritual and reverence. From guiding a yoga studio and community rituals, I honour cycles, seasons, and life’s transitions. Through ceremony I create a space inviting connection. I am drawn to ceremony because it offers a deliberate pause in a busy world, a way to honour what matters most and to accompany others with presence and warmth. My training and practice teach me to listen deeply, to notice, and share with you beginnings, changes, or endings with meaning. I value inclusivity, collaborative design, so that every rite reflects your values and stories. Whether celebrating a birth, a marriage, namings, or remembrance, I aim to hold space with gentleness, curiosity, and joy, guiding you towards a meaning, significant occasion.

Treasured memories: From weddings in sunlit gardens to naming ceremonies that cradle new beginnings, these moments are shared meaning. I remember a couple exchanging vows beneath a flowering elm, tears turning to laughter as a family member shared a vow of lifelong support. I recall a naming ceremony where grandparents whispered wishes for the child, and the circle of friends released lanterns, lighting the room with soft, hopeful glow. In a farewell, voices joined in a simple song that bridged grief and gratitude, leaving everyone warmed by connection. These memories remind me that ceremonies are not just events, but living rituals that mark togetherness and life.
Tips : When planning a ceremony or celebration, start with the feeling you want guests to carry home: a moment of clarity, joy, or connection. Let the event reflect your values and story, not trends, and involve key people early to shape meaningful moments. Aim for a simple, clear flow with one or two rituals that matter most, and design for accessibility, comfort, and inclusivity for all attendees. Leave space for silence and genuine emotion, and keep vows personal and concise, whether you write them yourselves or adapt existing ones. Collaborate with your celebrant on language, tone, and pace, and consider the venue, weather, and timing to reduce stress. Have a backup plan for rain or delays, and arrange a rehearsal prior and enjoy it all!!
and I'd like to say: I believe I’m the right celebrant for you because I listen first and tailor every moment to your story. With a background in guiding a yoga studio and leading community rituals, I bring calm presence, mindful intention, and a respectful, inclusive approach. I will shape the ceremony that reflect your values, celebrate life’s cycles, and honour both the quiet reflection and joyful, heartfelt connection. If you’re seeking a ceremony that feels authentic, welcoming, and personal, I’m here to hold space with you.
