Celebrant background: I live in the Hills of Perth, in Greenmount (near Midland). I am available to conduct ceremonies in any location across the metropolitan area. I am also very happy to meet with families in the Peel region, the Avon Valley, or elsewhere in regional WA - however travel fees may be applied. My professional background was mainly in the education sector, where for many years I was a Teacher-Librarian and English teacher in independent schools. Most recently, I worked as Community Relations Director & Manager at Helena College in Glen Forrest, but retired in 2017 after 17 years in this role.
I've been a celebrant for 20 years, since 2006. I have a passion & a commitment to work with families for Celebrations of Life, Funerals or Memorials. I have found it so rewarding to work with bereaved families & Funeral Directors to do this important work, crafting memorable ceremonies for their loved ones.

I can assist you to create a Celebration of Life, Funeral or Memorial that honours the life of your loved one. Each ceremony created is unique, individually crafted in response to the life story of the one who has passed, & the wishes of the grieving family.
Why I'm a celebrant: Finding the right celebrant for your loved one’s Celebration of Life ceremony is very important.
Members of the family may wish to meet several Funeral Celebrants before finally choosing one. While I am positive that I have the personal qualities & skills to ensure your Celebration of Life Ceremony will honour your loved family member or friend, I would be only too pleased to meet with you on a no-obligation basis in my home office, at your home or over a coffee somewhere. At that meeting we can discuss your particular needs & wishes. We can discuss about how I will work with you & your family members to create a ceremony that is meaningful and a celebration of the precious life that has been loved, lived & lost.

Treasured memories: * My sister & I both becoming Celebrants in 2007 & 2006 respectively, mentored by our Mother - also a celebrant - who has encouraged & supported us in our celebrant journeys ever since.
* Working with, & alongside, grieving families, helping them honour their loved ones by crafting unique, personal & creative ceremonies which share their life stories, achievements & passions.
* Surviving a massive brain bleed & emergency brain surgery in 2016 reinforced my desire to live life well - every single day- for we never know what tomorrow may bring.
* Taking the Dying to Know Day message & annual campaign each year into the community to promote end-of-life planning, spreading the word via free community workshops about making Your Farewell Arrangements. I facilitated 7 workshops in 2025 & this year 2026 I'm facilitating a D2KDay EXPO at Boya Community Centre on Sunday, 9th August 2026, supported by the Shire of Mundaring Community Engagement Team.
* Working with, & alongside, grieving families, helping them honour their loved ones by crafting unique, personal & creative ceremonies which share their life stories, achievements & passions.

* Complete an Advanced Health Care Directive
* Set up Enduring Powers of Guardianship & Attorney
* Perhaps write (or record) details of your life story for family & future generations
* RESEARCH what you want for your farewell - select your favourite music, your chosen casket, flowers, whether you'd prefer a burial or cremation, state what to do with your ashes, write letters to loved ones, reconcile broken relationships before it's too late!
* And most important of all - tell (& demonstrate) your loved ones that you LOVE them.
