Monday 10th June 2024

Meeting opened 6:38 pm EST

Item 1: Quorum – Yes

Present:

Item 2: Previous Minutes Confirmed.

Meeting Minutes of 13th May 2024– confirmed 10/06/2024.

Item 7: Chairperson’s Report – Debbie Payne – on Forum.

  1. Discussion regarding MLCS meeting with AG’s office as per Chair report prepared by Debbie Payne for committee meeting.
  • Annual insurance fees to CoCa
  • Update of Bill passed 12/06/2024 and review of the Marriage Guidelines.
  • Real consent of both parties as new Bill and 2024 OPD
  • Changes to Happily Before and After
  • Celebrant selection requirements tightened
  • Upcoming Zoom topics for TCN members
  • OPD session for members via zoom with Deb and Stacey very successful.

Item 8:  Treasurer’s Report – Ree Daly – Reports to uploaded to Forum.

           Bank Balance $92236.78 as at 06/06/2024

           Membership apportioned.

           Committee credit card arrived.

           Zoom account discussion, we will leave it at one user.

          TCN Shop going well.

          New membership enhanced bank balance.

          Committee members remittance.

Item 9:  Events – No report

Committee touched on current 2024 zoom scheduled meetings. Reminders to members via social media and newsletter.

Item 10: Membership Report –Kerri Goodman

                   Member numbers are low, we have had approximately 30 members resign from AGD as      registered celebrants, some as long as 30 years in the profession.

Committee members Kerri/Ree will be liaising with Nathan Morrow re status changes of members for our records to ensure non-members do not continue to receive updates and newsletters.

                 

Item 11: Social Media Report – Stacey Maguire

Social Media

Upcoming OPD’s have been advertised on social media.

Good member feedback from the changes to the Marriage Act 1961OPD for TCM members.

Website information is still appearing to have broken links as per email sent to committee members by Stacey after our May meeting.
